ASC Proofreading Service Policies

  • Proofreading sessions without an uploaded document and proof of payment (or Sprint coupon) will be canceled.
    • This type of session is asynchronous; a document is needed or else feedback cannot be given. 
    • Documents must be submitted in Word format; Proofreaders cannot provide feedback on a PDF. 
  • Proofreaders will only review the originally uploaded documents.
    • Documents added after the review is complete will not be reviewed. 
  • Students should not cancel appointments after the Proofreader has completed their review.
  • The student is responsible for selecting the type of session that matches their purchase. 
  • Proofreading feedback aligns with APA 7th edition guidelines unless the student provides information regarding other needs when scheduling the appointment.
  • Same-day appointments are unavailable for scheduling.
  • Feedback is available for download within three (3) days of the scheduled appointment date.

Plagiarism Policy

  • Students are responsible for ensuring their documents follow the university's Academic Integrity guidelines.
  • The Academic Success Center coaches and proofreaders do not review documents for plagiarism. Coaches and proofreaders will assist students with ensuring citations are correctly formatted in alignment with how the text is written (e.g. quotes or paraphrased).
